Global Warming

This issue came up in the latest blog post, but rather than take the responses off topic...

junkscience.com

This debunks much of the global warming rhetoric, including noting that during the 40's and 50's there was a COOLING trend, not a warming trend.

The comment was made that there are political agendas on "both" sides, which made me wonder, what could be the agenda of good scienctists who are debunking the global warming claims of those in power or funded by those in power who are seeking excuses to reduce liberty?

RE: Global Warming

you know what i don't get about global warming? why do republicans (ok, generalization, i know.) seem to disagree with global warming?... like, how does it benefit them? it doesn't make any sense.... just to disagree w/ democrats?

RE: Global Warming

I suspect that they are fearful of the environmental lobby which is controlled by the dems. There may be some who have seen through the scare tactics of the dems and know that there simply is no science behind the dems claims, but more likely it is simply a power play.
