Ok, bit of back story, I'm no writer, but I occasionally type up articles or essays etc to get my thoughts in order or to entertain my friends.
At any rate a little fictional-autobiographical piece I did impressed one of my friends so I handed it to my English teacher. Who enjoyed it and asked me to try to challenge my self and do three things.
1) Change my style completley, he liked what I was doing at the time, but wanted to see my range.
2) Neutral perspective, every time I've done creative work for English or anything I've always made it either through my eyes or third-person but with the thoughts of a main character.
3) Darker themes.
So, I got bored last night, at 12AM and decided to do just that, what I ended up writing is attached to this post (one and two.doc), I don't actually like it very much, the formatting gets tiring, but then again it's a draft.
The second thing (outdooredcamp2****.doc) is an example of my older stuff, for comparison.
So, yeh, long post, I'd just like to present this stuff, and hopefully start a debate over the themes within the first text. Feel free to comment on anything, if I wasn't open to criticism I wouldn't have written One and Two in the first place.
I can supply .txt versions if needed, but much of the formatting will be lost, which is a severe problem, is .rtf alright for Mac users?
